They started as Ministry of Defence Football Club under Ministry of Defence and it participated in Myanmar Premier League. In 2009, the club had changed its name to Myawady F.C. as an amateur club. Then the club changed as a professional club in 2019, and it played in 2019 MNL-2. At first season, the club ranked in third place. The next season, 2020, the club ranked in second place and promoted to Myanmar National League. Current season 2025, the club relegated to MNL-2 and only got 9 points.
