The VCU Rams women's basketball team is the intercollegiate women's basketball program that represents Virginia Commonwealth University. The Rams play in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

History

VCU began play in 1974. They have made the NCAA Tournament twice (2009 and 2021), while making the WNIT six times (2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2019). They joined the CAA in 1995, playing until 2012, when they joined the Atlantic 10 Conference.

The Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Women's Basketball Team, known as the VCU Women or VA Commonwealth Women, is a competitive collegiate program representing VCU in NCAA Division I basketball. Based in Richmond, Virginia, the team is part of the Atlantic 10 Conference and is committed to excellence both on and off the court. Known for their strong work ethic, team-oriented play, and dedication to student-athlete development, the VCU Women’s Basketball Team strives to compete at the highest levels, aiming for conference championships and NCAA tournament appearances. With a passionate coaching staff and talented student-athletes, the team fosters a dynamic and supportive environment that emphasizes skill development, strategic gameplay, and academic success.
